Owners of Invidia Q300

Hey guys i'm really interested in buying this exhaust but I keep hearing that its super quiet.

I don't want abnoxious loud but I don't want something that will sound like stock as well. That was one thing leaning me away from the Greddy previously. Anyone who has one of these chime in?

Greddy SP Elite vs Q300 vs N1 but i don't really like how the N1 is slanted.

Are you planning on adding any other exhaust parts after you get the catback? Expect it to get quite a bit louder if you do, so if that's the case I wouldn't worry about it - better to start quiet and get louder than start loud and end up unbearable

because of emissions and whatnot here, I don't think I will be doing anything other then the catback.

If thats the case for you guys who have it, is it too quiet?

It is very quite, you will only really notice it on cold start up. Other than that, it is just barely louder than stock. I wish it was a bit louder, but I really like the look as compared to stock.

I liked this system a lot. We have tons of videos on Youtube of it as well.

While it is quiet, I can tell you this, when outside the car to people listening to it, it's not that quiet and it sounds great.

On the sound of the Q300 from the outside, I have had several people comment that it sounded great, just right. I consider it a great purchase!

Too quiet? Idk. I'm thinking of getting one as well, but it doesn't sound very quiet in this first video or like stock. But, it's always extremely hard to tell by YouTube videos because of the various cameras used, even when doing a comparison of the stock exhaust to an aftermarket. In the second video, the N1 sounds much deeper overall, but it seems like the Q300 is louder in the top end. Hopefully someone that's heard these exhausts in person can help us out. A la @FT-86 SpeedFactory

Look into the MXP or resonated Perrin. I have the MXP and it sounds very nice. At highway speeds you hardly notice it.

Perrin seems to get rave reviews and so does Nameless offset axleback. The Nameless will be cheaper too.

I may look into this exhaust if it is quiet. I'm going to end going with headers and an overpipe. I like the deep grunt/growl of the boxer but I don't want any rasp or drone. Or draw a lot of attention.

i put the Q300 on my car.

For the first few drives it was QUIETER than stock. and it smoked a bit.

after 2 or 3 weeks it's louder than stock but not by much. driving around normally i forget i added an exhaust system. it is the same as stock on the freeway wile cruising. but as soon as you get past half throttle you know it's there.

i like the deeper sound that it has better than the stock sound and the tips fit the bumper better IMO.

i'm keeping it since i can get a catless header in houston and still race the car in STX. this wy the car stays as quiet as possible on the freeway.

I have res. Perrin and it's very quiet, only noticeable on cold start and also when you let off the throttle. When accelerating you cannot hear it. It is only a few decibels louder than stock.
