Anyone installed one of these in a non-US BRZ? I have a 3-pin plug in the head liner but it's a totally different type of plug and I don't know which wire is which.

Stupid question. I'm super lazy and want to do this in as few steps as possible. Any issues / risks if you don't disconnect the battery?

Alternative Ordering Option

The mirrors sold by Subaru look to be the same as the MITO mirrors... who private-labels these for just about every manufacturer.

These mirrors can be found on eBay and other sources for less than MSRP.

(Note: this eBay listing isn't using the correct pix for model #)

Thanks for the post. Just installed the Homelink mirror w/ Compass in my FRS, works like a charm.

For those interested, I didn't unhook my battery and it worked fine.

Also, I had my local Subaru dealer price match SubaruOnlineParts.com, came out to just over $200 for the mirror, adapter plate and tax.

Got a used auto dim mirror, but it didn't come with the harness adapter. Anyone have a part number or know where I can get one?

Make sure you get Subaru's updated adapter plate.

I'm actually in the same group as you guys, the mirror was vibrating while driving and actually started to rattle. I ended up replacing the two black screws that actually appeared to be slightly stripped. Hopefully this fixes the issue otherwise I'll be drilling and tapping the mounting plate as well.
Subaru has a new part number for the updated adapter plate. This fixes all vibration or loose fit issues.

Any advice on how to find the hidden connector wire in the headliner? I have spent a long time searching for it and am still coming up empty-handed. I have the '14 Subaru Limited MT. Thanks in advance.

I finally was able to find the connector. For others who have trouble locating it...if you feel the several wires that are wrapped together with vinyl and taped down on the passenger side, the connector is under that....connector is wrapped in foam.
