I managed to put a reservation down for the apartment complex hot tub tonight, 9-10pm. It’ll be a bit chillier by then, but should be nice.

No hum, due to covid restrictions only one unit can use it at a time. No meeting any girls there for me (for now).

I don't know how I feel about a hot tub being shared by an apartment complex, regardless of how much you can clean the damn thing, is just weird. Other than that, enjoy your relaxation night.

Edit: I don't want you to feel uncomfortable, is just that I'm sort of Germophobe when it comes to public water facilities, I find beaches kinda of dirty, public pools and such.

Oh, just turn the thermostat up to 212 degrees F and put lots of bleach in the water -

I'm with @spcmafia on this one, I don't think distance is the issue in a communal hot tub, even if it is reserved for you personal use...

But hot tubs have never been my thing in general, it's probably my own bad body image more than anything else...

I'm usually super careful with hot tubs these days.

One time I went to my gym to do some lap swimming and then wanted to chill in the hot tub for a bit to unwind.

Well, I walked over and there was a brownish glob of foam floating around.

You're doing great.

Speaking of sourdough starters, while going thru papers after the move, I found a couple freeze dried starters I bought a while back. The date on the postmark is May 1998! Should be ok, right?

I use my hot tub every day. It is a lot of work and expense to keep it sparkling clean.

I would imagine an apartment building would do like a hotel. Tubs are usually WAY over clorinated. Good idea to rinse off in the shower after.

I'm not going to watch this. It looks brilliant but I would be a weeping mess by the end of it.

IMO it's always a great idea to shower (with soap!!) after pool or hot tub, which is exactly what I did as soon as I got in the door of my place.

But yeah, this one was as crystal clear as it can get. Didn't even have much shrubbery from all the trees/bushes nearby, which means they must do a fairly good job keeping it clean.

Nice. Nice to have access to a tub.

Especially one you don't have to care for.

Two weeks into living here and I just messed up my glass stovetop.. wooooo....

I'm cooking something in an enameled dutch oven. Was careful about placing it and not sliding it on the surface.

Picked it up and noticed a weird orangish stain (sort of looks like a scrape on car paint). I'm guessing maybe the red enamel came off a bit or something.

Feels bad.

Lol, reminds me....

hot tub manufacturers make them so they only go up to 104°. I'm sure lawyers had something to do with it. I've been looking up ways to modify to get up to 106°. Evidently, all you do is add a resistor to the temp sensor wires. I need to find my soldering iron, and where do you get resistors with Radio Shack gone?
