What was the solution for this? Did you find a bushing that stood up to the heat or add some heat shielding? I have a ceramic coated ACE header and I just melted the Whiteline bushing that comes with their 22mm bar.

Thats the exact same setup I have. From what I recall, I lined the area with heat reflective tape and haven't looked at it since. It hasn't melted a second time. I also moved the supercharger coolant lines up out of the way to let heat escape up through the gap between the heads and frame rail more easily.

one more note the on Ace headers, my exhaust flange at the header separated from the collector tube. It looks like a very clean break, so I can't attest to ACE's welding abilities. Pulling it and putting on a JDL 4-2-1 header as soon as it comes in the mail.

ACE A350 headers are back in production / in stock! I had inquired with them a while back and didn't hear anything, and then out of the blue this morning I got this email:

"Our headers are officially back in stock with an improved redesign. Please have a look at our website for more details:

Now at this price they still seem viable option. Slight con - if from themselves, no ceramic coating option.

I got mine from them about 2 years ago (great service btw) at the same price as it's listed now and got it coated locally to me. Came out nice and it's working well because after quite a bit of track abuse I still haven't melted anything.

looking at the previous post and https://aceheader.com/A350-GT86-FRS-...DER-p133843673

looks like the collector is shorter and after the collector the tubes are slightly longer to the overpipe flange. awesome!

Looks can be deceiving! Unless there's an old vs new design side-by-side comparison with measurements, its all speculation. A write-up or explanation by the manufacturer of the improvements would be nice.

To me it appears that the primaries are exactly the same, but they moved the flange in the secondaries section further downstream (maybe to reduce turbulence by putting it in a straighter section?), and made the secondaries a *tiny* bit shorter overall, with the collector pipe being a corresponding little bit longer overall (which I believe is primarily for greater fitment compatibility between LHD and RHD models).

I'd guess that the changes were mostly done for fitment, and the fact that there may be a slight improvement in performance is just an added bonus...

Would the redesigned ace header work with the Delicious Tune?

Which heat reflective tape brand did you use?

I would say yes. Like other tuners, it would take them a couple of runs to determine the best parameters.

If you mean changing the headers and using an existing tune by D.T, it could work, but I wouldn't recommend it. Always good to optimize any upgrades done to existing equipment.
