My dealer called me last week with some good news...

We have a special edition 86 coming to Canada/US in the next month or two - more options and a true comparison with features to that of the sport tech BRZ.

Trying to get my hands on some pictures.

- Dual Climate Control
- Heated Seats
- Leather trim seats (Alcantara perhaps?)
- 4.2 inch TFT screen with vehicle performance data
- Leather wrapped parking brake
- Smart Key system
- Push Start
- 17" Super Black High Luster Wheels (Same as the Inazuma/Yellow Edition BRZ?)
- Fog Lamps
- Rear Spoiler
- Only available in M/T

Apparently it will be only available in white and orange in colour...

Could be this: http://www.carscoops.com/2016/11/toy...e-package.html

I will remain skeptical that it is coming here until I see a press release though.

I was literally just about to post that - my guess would be yes. Looks great imo.

You gotta be fast!
The Japanese version only comes in the white or solar orange (not Lava).
Probably be a hit if they actually do bring it over.

How much? Four grand or more for all of that? How the heck do you have "dual climate control" in a cabin that small.

It's more useful than it sounds.
I originally thought it was stupid in a tiny cabin as well, but it's not like setting your home to 70° where it only turns the heater/AC on to maintain that temp.

I actually love the dual climate control in the BRZ. I have issues with my feet, they can cramp if they get too cold. So I can run heat on the floor on the driver's side, then run cold on the passenger side and point it at me. Makes this oddly comfortable equilibrium.

I have dual-climate as well, then. Window open, heat or AC on. Free!

I did see the same info...

Got confirmation of the orange color code, called NBB Solar Orange. The white is the same as 2015+ K1X. So the orange will be really like the special edition in Japan. Good thing, really like this orange. Not to own it but it look great.

From what I understand:

- No, it don't have the performance package on it (I really hope I'm wrong)
- Same look as the "Solar Orange" from Japan (black mirror and wing)
- Will most likely have all the fake c/f trims like the limited 86 and high trim BRZ
- Maybe red/black interior like "GT Limited" 86 ?
- Like say before, same equipment as high trim BRZ "17

Since my FR-S is for sale and I'm waiting something like that to order mine, timing seem perfect. Maybe a "special edition" would make me keep it a little longer.

(that would be my 3rd ZN6, already tired of red, miss my white one lol)
