Awesome video. He talks about that pass at some point in the podcast.

That was pretty entertaining to hear him talk about it. I didn't even think about the curbing on that slight left till he brought it up.

As part of our Instagram project "The Apex Files", we've started a new podcast series. Our first season features a line up of experienced drivers, motorsports engineers, and industry experts. We're excited to share some unique perspectives in the motorsports and enthusiast world. There's plenty of tech discussion, mostly about suspension and chassis. We really want you to get something useful out of each episode and keep it interesting.

The first episode features Dan Kroll, a long time friend of RCE who's been building a Subaru STI unlimited class time attack car for a very long time. Big aero, wide tires, and lots of power. We talk about suspension set up with high downforce cars, set backs along the way, things we wish we could do to our Subarus, and his plans for next year.

Thanks for your time! Hope you enjoy the show.

Are you the same guy who used to post on EvoM, or was that a different person from your company?

It's me.

I recognize your screen name but it's been a while.

Nice. I was the guy who suggested you paint the Evo springs grey.

Episode 4 is up with a familiar face for BRZ/FRS/86 folks!

You guys know Kevin. We were just catching up with him after he left that other big company and started his own thing. There's a little bit about Youtube in general, the car community, and time attack...it's a pretty laid back conversation.

We'll have some tech stuff on the podcast soon and have some great guests lined up.

We were pretty excited to have Mike Kojima on the podcast recently. Mike has been around for a while and is one of the original suspension and chassis dudes in the JDM import world. He's worked for some big names in the industry, both manufacturers and race/drift teams. He also wrote for Sport Compact Car and currently produces tech content for MotoIQ. We talk drifting, stupid things people do, the future, and a lot more. It's a good time.

Check it out!

We did our first "crew" show which was a lot of fun. Some WRX TR and BRZ tS discussion, GR86 cup, simulators vs karting, dogs, and a little bit of tech stuff. Check it out!

We recently had Jeff Perrin of Perrin Performance on our podcast to talk about their history, NASIOC, and his thoughts on the new 2022 "VB" WRX. There's a little bit of BRZ content too. And Mazda 323 GTX content (Jeff's in the Pacific NW so there has to be).

Jeff's a great dude and it was really cool to chat with someone behind one of the original US Subaru aftermarket companies.

Check it out on youtube or your favorite podcast app. Also, like/share/subscribe if you're into this sort of thing.

It was a good listen

I am rather surprised Perrin isn’t really embedded more in the local community. There are a number of other shops that are like AR(installer and tuner) and Dundon that are usually around if you need a hand or to borrow a tool. I’ve never seen Perrin around unless they have a booth at a meet. Ton’s of twins and Subie’s in general in the PNW. Lots of great clubs too doing track and autox.

We had Fez Babar on recently to talk about his experience in Gridlife Club TR class with his 2022 GR86 (the yellow one with the big wing). Good times.
