Help with sway bar end links

Helppppp!!!!!

I'm replacing my front struts and i ran into a problem with my sway bar end links!

The bolt that attaches to the strut just keeps spining!

The washer isn't staying completely as well!

Now i can't remove the nut off the strut

Doesn't the endlinks have the Allen hex in the middle or on the other side?

Wow this ended up being a total bitch to do...

I had to clamp down with a wrench to the bolt to pull the nut off. The bolt was totally damaged as well. I ended up just getting a new sway bar end link to install..
I think someone has been messing with it before because the nut was already rounded off as you can already see

see below images..

There can also be flat spots a wrench will fit on between the sway bar and the body of the endlink.
