Just an update to my original post at the top. There is a problem with the clearance between the muffler and the hitch. I've taken the car back to the installer and they did have to try to tap in the muffler so it doesn't come in contact with the hitch, especially when I have two mtn bikes on the rack which adds extra weight to the rack. I am thinking about taking my car in to a muffler shop to possibly shorten the whole muffler a bit.

Just got a quote from U-Haul of Lewisville TX. $349.85 installed before tax.

24917 Scion and FRS and Subaru BRZ $149.95
3593B Drawbar $24.95
CMF56212 Quick Connect $49.95
HTHW Hitch Warranty $5.00

1.5 hours labor $120.00

Anything I should worry about with the car lowered one inch?

24917 didn't fit my 2014 Scion FRS, wtf. It's the specific one for my car, glad I didn't order it to install myself. Uhaul is ordering another (29716) one with 1000 lbs less towing capacity and 0.5 more hours of install time. The hitch is about 1 to 2 inches too narrow, it doesn't appear to fit the holes on the frame rails.

So it appears that you have to enlarge the bolt holes to make it fit, soaybe diy might not be that simple. Has anyone had any issues with the installation at uhaul? Kind of nervous having then touch my car. Any body in Mass have any reccomendations on where to get it installed?

You might want to consider the new Torklift hitch before going w/the Uhaul. See, e.g. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84964

So I had a hitch like this on my car briefly (same style, different company). What they told me is that often the hitches need to be stretched out/bent etc to get them to fit. Which is absolutely ridiculous but supposedly common? They even sent me a PDF that had some step by step instructions on how to bend it. However when I was done it wasn't completely centered and the fitment was still crap.

I really like the idea/design of the Torklift one. I wanted one of the Kask ones but he stopped selling them before I could grab one. You should get one of those. More expensive but so much easier to install. Plenty of strength at that mounting point and its hidden which is fantastic. No issues with aftermarket exhausts like some of the uhaul style ones either. Worth the money imo
