Whats so fucking dangerous in the States that doesnt happen in Canada requiring you to carry an handgun in your car ? What you guys have, like gators and shit ? Mooses are like 3 BRZ x 3 BRZ. Once you'll have Australia's wildlife, I'll allow a rocket launcher; 'till then, stick with slingshots

Can you imagine someday in the future ^^^ this is how we are going to talk about horsepower? Why do you need a 500whp internal combustion engine!? Youre crazy!

Lets keep this on topic and solve the OP s question.

I'd avoid a lock box altogether, I keep mine in the glovebox, just don't advertise that it is in there.

The OP is asking for solutions to hiding his handgun. He's not asking for 101 reasons why to not have one in his car.

Lol, try this analogy for size:
A guy asks where he could go to get some crack, most people tell him that he doesn't need it.

Although there may be more street goblins in America (car jackings etc.) they dont NEED to have car guns.

They do it because they can. I would if I could.

The reason many can is because the few states that allowed handgun carry had LESS violent crime and other states saw the cash savings from the legal system (police, courts, prisons etc.) and became greedy for money.

Over the years many states changed legislation to allow citizen carry and that trend is still going on until all but the few socialist nanny paradise states will allow it.

Crack is illegal. Carrying a handgun isn't.

In case you haven't noticed, I asked under the context of "need" to holster a gun in the car.
It's OK, I just wasn't born or raised in merica or living there.
