Car beeps 3 times when starting

Anybody else have an issue with this?

I get 3 quick “honks” when starting the car. Sometimes car won’t start first attempt but still will give me the 3 beeps even when it won’t start. I’ve replaced both the car battery and tried switching the battery in both of my key fobs and nothing has worked.

When I swapped out my dead clutch recently, I was having success getting the car to start first go initially but since then it slowly started to fail again which by now takes me a few tries to get to start half the time.

Zero lights showing on the dash and I’m getting zero codes from the diagnostic. Lastly, turning over seems to be significantly less successful when the temp is hot outside.

Anybody have any suggestions for someone not too experienced? My next intention is to just take it into a shop but if there’s something recommended/opportunity for myself to learn then I’d like to give that a go. Any help is appreciated!

Welcome to the group -

No, but if I did, I would suspect the battery, it's connections or the alternator.

Are you sure the battery was good when you installed it?

What does the voltage read on the battery at rest. (should be around 12V)

What does the voltage read at the battery with the car running? (should be around 13V)

Are the battery terminals clean and tight?

Come back -

Make sure there isn’t an aftermarket alarm, that there isn’t a second key fob in the car or that the car door sensors or doors aren’t ajar.
