I think my car is jinxed. I haven’t even thrown out the last one I replaced yet. I was going to dissect it.

I was on an other thread and got thinking about things that had happened while traveling, so random thoughts.

I did trouble shooting on electronics for about eight plants around the country. Got to the airport with my small "Quick fix bag" Test gear and yes a solder gun. It said solder GUN on the side. Off the lockdown room. Finally a senior guy comes in and says "Next time do not bring a GUN with you, just file off the word." Cool guy.
Then they said no tools in carry on. So I had to check the little bag, had it disappear so a big bag from then on.

Was working in Australia just after 9/11 got to check in and they took my emergency sewing kit with two sewing needles, Got on the plane and they gave us real steak knives with the food.

Woooo. Finally some good news on the car parts side. The parts I ordered from Japan back in March that have been sitting at Japan Post EMS in Kanagawa since ~ April 1st are finally on the move! According to tracking they just arrived at/departed from "Tokyo Int D" (which I'm assuming is either Narita or Haneda airport freight terminal maybe?).

EMS was originally saying there would be an up to four month backlog because of less air traffic coming into Japan, and that was only for packages that had been "accepted" up to that point. Fortunately mine made it before that cut-off.

Fortunately I get to exaggerate a little. I wouldn't die, but it'd just make me severely uncomfortable for a few hours, or at worst for the entirety of a day.

Sorry to hear that though. :\ Allergies are ridiculous. Mine is unfortunately somewhat an uncommon thing. The doctors say it's more of a "hypersensitivity" to certain stuff in certain foods but they could never really narrow down the cause. But the symptoms aren't like regular allergy symptoms, so that's why they said it didn't fall under that category.
