Very nice work. I was wondering why you weathered and detailed the innards of the wing. Makes sense now. haha.

Ever think about printing your own decals? I saw a video on it, doesn't seem hard if you have the supplies. That way you won't have to wait (unless you already ordered).

I don't have a printer that would do a nice enough job on decals. I am never in a rush anyway. This project was started about 3 years ago but I will frequently put one aside and do something else for a bit.

You do some amazing work. I hope you have a gallery or museum getting you work. I would hate to find that a six year old great grandson was going to play in the back yard with these.

The Star Wars ones all went to my son's boss who is an avid fan so they have a place of honour.
Not sure where the rest will ever end up.

Well stage one is happening far sooner than I thought!

Wasn't sure the project was going to fly when I saw what this kit was selling for online. I lucked out and had a 25% off coupon for the store.
Now if I can find a 1/48 Seiran at a discount.
It comes with 2 planes with wings out and 4 with folded wings. It only needs three so I have loads of spares.

Oh, sweet! Maybe you can some how display one of the spare planes as flying above the submarine???

Definitely post your progress with it. I take it you'll finish this kit first, and then work on the 1/48 mock up?

I will probably have this done this weekend. Could be weeks or months before I can even get my hands on the 1/48 plane.
