New Audi R8 - Official

Looks nice.

From the article:
An updated 5.2-litre V10 engine, available with two outputs, will be the only choice during the launch. The first version makes 540hp and 540 Nm (398.3 lb-ft) of torque while the V10 Plus scores a very healthy 610hp and 560 Nm (413.0 lb-ft) of torque, allowing it to accelerate from zero to 62mph (0-100km/h) in 3.2 seconds, 0-124mph (0-200km/h) in 9.9 seconds and it will keep going until it reaches 205mph-330km/h. The 540hp version sprints to 62mph from standstill in 3.5 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 201mph (323km/h).

They keep calling it "2nd generation" but it looks more like a mid-cycle refresh to me. New front and rear fascia, updated interior, updated engine.

Looks like they tossed the manual transmission out with the V8.

I guess Audi thinks they have classic design language with the r8 like the 911. This looks far more dated than classic though. I never liked how the r8 looked in pictures but they look nice in person. Maybe this is more of the same.

Audi's corporate styling hasn't changed in ten years.

This apparent re-fresh is probably a really big deal to them.

On the plus side, some of their older cars have aged pretty nicely...

I imagine it will grow on me, and I'd like to see one in person, BUT, this looks too much like the new TT. The older one looked far more unique.

Seriously this is exactly what I thought. I think they are going with the Porsche 911 thing, slight changes with each generation.
