If I went a full 20 minute session I'd overheat no doubt. My last two track days were 85+ and 100+ degrees outside. The laminova cooler definitely slows down the rapid oil temperature rising, but it is not sufficient in 85+ degree weather for 20 minutes or longer in my experience. Anything below 85 I'm in the clear. I'm going to be adding an additional air oil cooler to work in parallel with the PTuning laminova for these summer track days. I need the full sessions on the track.
Keep us posted on how your setup goes, I have a feeling I'll be doing something similar...... Haha!

Just doing pulls for the Etune (and driving like an asshole) I've seen temps rise to about 230. I know we want to keep oil temps above 215 (evaporate water), but I'd like to stay away from 260....

Do you run the dual exit or single? I feel the single exit it much more mild but again I haven't heard it in person.

I added a oval style magna flow resonator/muffler in place of the bullet style resonator in their turbo back "mid pipe". Cut down on the loudness but it still drones in the cabin. At least I pass laguna seca sound check.

Yeah if you are going to track the car the Laminova oil cooler is not sufficient for hard fast laps or summer track days.

Give and take, you folks can run track all year long but have to deal with hotter oil temps. Our track day temps are mild but can't run all year long

May I borrow that for pipe Seca? Haha... I have to do the same or similar setup.

230 is Okay, I wouldn't worry about it. If you pass 240 I would say your cooling is inadequate for your type of driving. Just my two cents.

The car is really, really obnoxious on your ears if you want to take a highway drive for long perioids, I would never even thinking about doing it again without earplugs. Driving around town however it's not bad at all, you can keep it in a certain RPM range to dull the decibels and that works perfectly. But on the highway, you have no option but to just watch your rearview mirror shake like you're listening to a bass CD with a massive sound system for hours on end. I'm serious, it is LOUD. Those that might not think so probably just like being loud as hell. I'm one of those guys that like to be quiet when I'm driving around. But evidently the PTuning setup is considered "quiet" among other standards, so you're in good hands.

It's good to know I'm not alone lol and I would imagine having uel headers would make it 10x worse like most of the setups.

I'm not too concerned at this moment in time, but just looking ahead. Talked to Toan a bit and that eased my worries a little. Said not to worry too much about it as long as you're not hitting 260. Anyway, was thinking about it a little bit and drew something up real quick. Haven't thought about placements or sources of parts, but thoughts?

I wouldn't worry about a thermostat because the oil will be passing through the water system so it will warm up and not shock the system with cold oil, if its over cooling.
