Mine hasn't fallen off yet.
Still need the plate frame.

I just realized I have 2 perrin products on my car: license plate relocate, and master cylinder brace. So far so good I guess.

So this thread might be the place for me to finally ask. What is the purpose of relocating the license plate?

To move it to the tow hook location and avoid drillling holes into the bumper. Simple as.

Moot point on the 2022+ BRZ since the holes are already there.

And even if they weren't you would just end up with a weirdass flat spot on the bumper if you side mounted the plate.
May get away with it slightly better on the 86.

It's really my only complaint about the front of the BRZ (the weird flat spot), but I don't see it while driving so.

I'm glad I don't live in a front plate state.

Still nice to not have the plate blocking part of the grill, that is why I moved mine. Now I have my plate zip tied over the middle of my grill cause I can't get enough temp driving on the street

I'm more just poking fun at posting 1st gen info in the 2nd gen area.
