Hyundai still makes a fuel cell, Nexo.

So does Toyota and Honda I believe, but I just meant there is no real momentum behind fuel cells in the US. I think you may see them used in long haul trucking, and maybe aircraft or trains, but not likely in personal transportation. That is a shame though, because I was Team Fuel Cell (and still am to some extent).

Hyundai has had many many concepts that either never happened or looked radically different than when first introduced.
Hell I showed one just a few posts up. They are no different than any other company in producing wild concepts and then toning them down for real life or just never actually making them.

Their EV concepts seem to make it to production and look very close to the concept.

I had my first Ionic 5 siting in the wild a couple of weekends ago. It's interesting but not for me. It looked like a "futuristic" car rendering from a mid 90's version of Grand Theft Auto.

On a different note, I see a future GT7 DLC for the N Vision 74...

I will give you basic body lines and rectangular tail lights on those. Other than that almost every single detail is different.
Concepts are designed to attract attention. The production version has to meet price points and regulations while still looking something like the concept. This almost always creates quite a gap between the two.
There is also often a rather substantial change between the very first release of a concept and later ones. The closer to release of course the closer to the production car.

Hyundai's designs have been knocking it out of the park recently. Really hope this comes to production in any capacity. I believe Fuel Cells still have potential for commercial applications, but currently the gov't is riding another horse.

But you never know.

eh cool but feels pretty derivative. i was actually looking forward to the ioniq 6 but production turned into a big mess, so tall compared to concept with the extra bulge around hood/a pillar/fenders and they disgustingly did not integrate door frames into the body so in any color other than black it already looks dated..so not hoping for much with this concept either.

I really do not like the bulgy look. Didnt really like the similar Mercedes Benz design theme using the upside-down bowl look on its cars......but this looks worse.

Its like the MB EQ series of EV's..which also has the wierd upside-down bowl look.......except those look incredibly cheap outside for a product in its pricerange.
