Ok. I'm in the middle of doing that right now. I just figured out where it hitting & its no where close to the whole. So I'm going to make my own

I made my own hole. Pictures are in my build thread in this subforum. Regardless of the pan size, the dipstick should always be accurate, so I wanted it functional. If it just bends against the side of the baffle then it isn’t working as a dipstick and is just a plug for the valve cover. At that point, might as well trim it shorter than messing with snaking it in. I say cut a hole, but just make sure you clean it well.

I totally blanked that I could probably check the other pins in the AC2 plug for spots to attach the EBC. I’ll have to check the wiring diagram.

IIRC there was only one DPO spot left available for use.

Yes, 18 for the DPO, but I’m talking about using the AC2 connector for power and ground. I was going to try to do two lines sharing the power and ground for flex fuel and for EBC, but I’m thinking now that there might be another power and ground available in that connector since it has 8 pins.

Kpower is using 1, 2 and three for the power, ground and signal wire, respectively. I will need to figure out if another plug is power and ground.

Ah, sorry I musta glossed over that. Biggest issue is whether it’s carried through the jumper board from Kpower and where it would end up on the other side.

I think I’m just going to wire up the EBC using some interior switchable 12v source instead of going off the AC2 connector. Just saying.

So I have been doing a Step by step install videos for the kit. What are some none obvious things to
Look for? Or things you wish you would of known ahead of time?
Or just command issues?
I already have the

Trans tunnel clearance. I and at least one other that I know of didn't make enough room initially since the photos in the instruction aren't really that helpful.


Pretty sure there was only one person that had issues with the oil drain plug being too close to the sub-frame but worth checking on your initial install.



Oil pan flange had too much material where the A/C bracket wants to be.


Don't know how many others had issues but the calibration for the oil temp sensor was way off in the base map provided for the Haltech.


Hood to valve cover clearance. IF the webbing structure of the hood has let go of it's bonding agent then it pushes against the corner of the valve cover. I just ground away a notch in the webbing and moved on with my life. A better man would have glued it back.


There's a small bracket included with the wiring harness but no instructions on what it's for. Supposedly it's to help tidy up everything by the starter so I think that's worth figuring out and mentioning.


Gas gauge issues have been a current issue that I don't think will get fixed anytime soon. I still register a hair over a 1/4 tank with only 2 gallons left.


I'm sure there's something I'm missing but I think that covers most of it?


Rolled just over 1700 miles on my swap so far. Well worth it.

That just looks like a pair of baskets with two fuel level sensors, and one has a fuel pump and the other has a line, but with only two wires going to the passenger basket for the level sensor, it doesn’t appear to have its own crossover pump. You are saying there is a secondary pump?
