I guess its a good thing I can't even afford admission into the auction, never mind being able to place a bid on it.
But if it's not "investment grade", like say... a new corvette or GTR... something expensive but not stupid expensive, why bother paying for it if you can't enjoy it

I'm good enough at it. Plus, having two cars 2 will mean I won't have to be fast and can take time learning when my knowledge has run short of the project at hand. $2000 is really the buy in point- adding extra bucks to run well is part of the plan, then adding drifty parts later. After two years, it will likely become a missile.
I actually had a semi-runing s13 last year for $500 bucks. I spent about $150 getting it running slightly better. It got hit a little, insurance paid me $1200. Then I decided to get the FRS. Sold it to make the first few payments for $850. I 'm wondering if I can buy it back slightly above that. The dude seems to have gotten it running pretty well.

IF driving your car is the equivalent to having sex, then highway miles is missionary position.

I'm a marketing PhD student. I spent 60 hours this summer trying to understand all the different value determination theories. As @Dadhawk has started to point out, it is really complex and I don't want to go back there mentally. hahaha.

Driving my car on the highway is not why I bought this car.

Oh, and @humfrz, my research projects kind of cycle. Right now, though, some of my focal research revolves around firearm purchasing and carrying and also something we're calling service provider absenteeism. I may call on all of you for survey responses soon

Highway driving in my FRS is not something I would say I enjoy.

edit: @Dadhawk, for wear and maintenance, you re right about those being preferable miles. However, if I were to sell it- folks don't tend to put much faith in the phrase "mostly highway miles."

I live in Iowa so 99% of my miles are highway. If I was getting a commuter car it would be comfortable with great mileage. I've driven rat traps. I'm done with that shit

Might as well be one of Steve's sex bots if you're not going to make eye contact. If the room is dark then you couldn't but if you can't see what's the point of banging a hot chick?

No, you are right, not disagreeing with you.

I could afford either, but that is more money than I can justify to spend and basically "burn up". It's a personal decision.

True. I always have to remind myself that others actually want some residual value in a car so they can sell it. I almost never sell/trade-in a car until I've squeezed all the value out of it.

If fact, I'm usually the person buying the "gently used" car someone else wants to trade-in. Only about 1 in 4 cars I buy are new.

As long im banging hot girl i dont mind if its dark or in missionary position. I still dont understand why people care much about puting miles on the frs, its a sub 30k sport car. If you cant repair it, buy other. Rinse and repeat

If I was commuting a LONG way each day I'd get a different car with better gas mileage but only because my frs is pretty race car. Unless it was a long twisty commute
