Wash and installed a suede shift boot and new knob. Shift pattern looks way brighter red than in person.

My daughter got rear ended which totaled her car.

So, last night I loaned her my FRS. She called about 15 minutes after she left our house and ask me "how do you get this car in reverse"?

Nope, no worries -

I was going to tell her to be careful when going in reverse, because, things will jump out at the car.

The reverse lock out got me the first time I drove my FRS. I sat in the car fiddling with the gears for 2-3 minutes before it dawned on me what to do.

Too funny! Let's go for a drive. We'll plan a route to avoid backing up anywhere.

*deep breath*

Exedy stage 1 clutch and flywheel, verus clutch fork and pivot, TOB, mt90 trans fluid, grounding straps, right valve cover leak fixed, leaking exhaust gasket, rear crankshaft seal.

Not sure why people say the lighter flywheel is difficult to drive with. I dont know if I'm just used to driving with deteriorating components but the drive home was buttery smooth. Sure, the biting point moved a bit, but I can actually feel where it is now as opposed to guessing before. No stalling or anything, excellent mod.

Aloha folks! I haven’t been around these parts in a long time but still have my ‘13 FR-S and still love it. Just under 100K and no real troubles (knock on wood). I’ve got a few cosmetic deteriorations so thinking about refreshing the car a bit. Haven’t decided what to do with the paint but currently looking into doing some DIY interior alcantara to go with the knee and speaker pads I got years ago. I’m retired so I got time to tinker.

(Also considered buying something newer since I have the oldest cars in the house but nothing new really fits my desire like the old girl does.)

I saw this on SlickDeals https://slickdeals.net/f/18046065-we...xpired%3AFalse a few days ago. There is a lenghty discusion there about these Weize batteries if you have the time to read it. https://www.autocarneed.com/who-makes-weize-batteries/

My 8 year old Optima Yellow top battery is on its last leg. Checked it this morning, drove it 2 days ago, it was 11.6V, not good but it started hesitantly. Checked it while running, 14.4V. After an 8 mile drive, it came up to only 11.9V. The Weize ATM battery for my Scion is the cheapest I could find, and no tax saves me 9.75% TN sales tax. It gets a 4.7 rating at Amazon so that's encouraging.

This morning I charged the Optima battery from 33%, 11.6V, up to 100%, 12.4V, with my Schumacher charger. I checked the battery voltage 2 hours later, it was back down to 11.8V.

I ordered the Weize battery, https://www.weizeus.com/products/wei...i-dohc-122-cid, $138.64 total shipped with the 6% off coupon code rinoal; and no sales tax, which is 9.75% in my TN county. I doubt I will get 8 years out of it like the Optima, which is now $295., but for the price I'll settle for 3-4 years.

I received thre battery today, 1-24, by UPS, 8 days after ordering it, CA to TN. It was well packed and the initial voltage reading was 12.8V. It fit perfectly. Advance Auto will give you a $10 gift card for bringing in your old battery. https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/o/batterybounty
