BRZ US Debut at NAIAS?

I swear I saw a thread/post right before the site crashed with a link to Subaru stating the world debut at TMS and then the US debut at NAIAS? If so I'm flying to michigan but want to confirm first.

Wow, thats awesome, less than two months away for a U.S. debut! I bet we will start seeing final numbers for the car (possibly even a price) before then.

My guess, specs released in tokyo, but concept is displayed. NAIAS will have production ready version, but same specs as released in tokyo.

I really hope not.

Either way I'm flying to Detroit for NAIAS (and finding other things to do up in the snow we never see here like a snow mobile race the weekend after I goto the autoshow) to see the US Spec version in person

I'm guessing they release the international production models at TMS and then the U.S. spec BRZ and FR-S at the Detroit show. At least taht would make sense to me, but I'm not a big wig at Toyota or Subaru...

I agree. They should release US spec at Detroit Auto Show if they want it to be at the dealerships in Spring.

Hmm. This probably means we won't get firm pricing until January. I wouldn't be surprised if Toyota did the same thing since Scion is a US-only brand.

If both the Subaru and Scion are there, I'm making the drive from Toronto for sure. Seems unlikely that it's only Subaru, but if that's the case I might still go. I'd really like to see it in person and get my hands on a brochure, just to have. We can sync and be bffs =p

Do you think they will let us sit in it?

I wonder who will be the first owners of an FT or a BRZ be kinda cool if the cars were numbered. But Im sure that will jump the price I can't wait to see the production cars.

The first couple VIN numbers will sadly belong to pre-production cars that will probably have to be scrapped

I'll be at the NAIAS as usual. What day[s] are you considering going?
