WANTED - Stock FR-S strut

Hi all,
I'm in need of a stock, front left strut (mine is leaking). I don't want to buy any coil overs or other struts quite yet, until I see what will be coming out in the next 6-12 months.

If anyone is willing to part with the front left strut, it would be very much appreciated. My second choice would be to buy the fronts only, and if necessary (and if cheap enough)...I'd consider buying a full set, in hopes to part out the remaining shocks/struts to others only needing one.

If you can help out, please PM me a price shipped to 92592.

Thanks!

I wish. It has other springs on them, along with several other mods to the car. I don't even want to try - too much hassle. I just need something to get me by for 6-12months, until I've decided what coilover or struts I want to run.

Thanks. I looked on eBay last week, but didn't see anything. Can you PM me the link if you see it again? I'll take a look now as well. Thanks!

Edit: I found the strut on eBay. Great price. Includes the spring, dust boot, bump stop and hat, which I don't necessarily need. Thanks for the info. I might go this route if @deedzman can't part with his.

How low are you? Another stock strut will probably blow just as fast but I'm sure you know that :P.

When I see a thread like this it makes me want to stay away from springs and just go straight to coil-overs.

I'm running Hotchkis springs, about 3/4-1" drop. However, I'm 99.9% sure this had nothing to do with mine leaking. We did my brother's car and a friend's at the same time, and mine is the only one leaking. This particular strut is the only one I screwed up on, where the shaft slipped while I was holding it. It slid off the protective strap I used, and created a little gouge on the shaft. So, I don't think it's due to the springs - but my screw up.

But, I agree...I'd go the coilover route if possible. I plan to do the same, once I figure out which to go with. I didn't want the cheapest coilover setup, and also wanted to talk to and hear from those running at the local tracks first. I knew I would shorten my strut/shock life a bit with springs only, but also knew they would be replaced within a year or so. At only $180 for the springs, I'm actually happier than expected. Ride is nice, I was happy at the track, and the drop is decent.
