Almost here but disappointed in my dealer

Today I called my dealer to ask about an estimated delivery date of my FR-S and to change my color. He told me that there was a ship that just entered the doc and my car was on it. He also said that as soon as they get the car on the truck then they will receive it in a couple of days. YAY was my first reaction. Then I asked him if he had any information about acc. items that were avaiable at the doc that I could choose.

Here is were I flipped my shit. Sorry words. He told me that He had no list of such items and or prices. Then he told me that my car was going to have premium stereo, floor mats, and trunk liner. What the frack. I insisted that he have all those additional items removed and that the floor mats were a stock item and not an add on.

What else are they going to try and pull.

If they insist on having those items on the car the only smart thing for you to do is to take your money elsewhere. Start contacting other dealers tomorrow in case your dealer insists there's nothing he can do, just to check their expected inventory.

I have a dealer up the road that hasn't had any inquiries yet. I will see what they can do.

By the way it just occurred to me that the dealer may be right about the floor mats. I remember reading that they were standard on the FR-S, in which case you only have to deal with the trunk liner and radio. He ought to be able to put both in another car that hasn't been sold yet, i.e. swap radios and move the trunk liner.
