See this is problem with being a pilot. Not just having to keep reminding people I'm a pilot all the time. Like I come back down the atmosphere and open this thread up again and I'm completely lost. Talking about patching a whose what like it's a drywall job?

Homer simpson said speed holes make a car faster. But the crease will likely negate any gains with the airflow redirection.

I'm trying to laugh about it, because it hurts. You should see the other side, and 2 rims down. And suspension and/or steering damage and I can't even check because all my tools and Jack are in POD land now.

Maybe your insurance company will think that the door doesn't need replacing?

My stepdad put two long gouges in the passenger side door of my 240Z when, in his typical rushed, careless way, turned wide into the driveway with his big yellow F150 that was maybe a few years younger than my Z.

I never got it fixed. Drove it like that for another seven years. Fuck it.

Teenager with learning permit hit the gas instead of the brake backing up. I had my car in the street because a POD was being picked up/dropped off. Bad damage to both sides, and wheels. Sucks. Being towed he shop tomorrow.

Of course it isn't Totally different situation except for the part where my beloved prize got fucked up while innocently parked.

You'll get it fixed up as good as new. The sub-frames will be fine.

I'm no expert, but i can definitively say a few things.

Yours will be cheaper
Yours will buff out easier
Being outside the car is better than dealing with the airbag.
And as long as they don't have garbage insurance, it will all work out--have had 2 friends now that were hit by others that had fly-by-night insurers that never paid for any of it...
