Jdl ultra quiet front pipe donut gasket

I installed a 2.5 ultra quiet front pipe. And the gasket that came with the jdl unit doesnt seem to fit right to me. The flanges dont meet, or is that intended?

Anyone that installed this front pipe have any insight?

Thanks!

Flanges dont touch with a donut gasket, and loosen the nuts so it can flex.

Hmm,

Exhaust leaks here a little. How big of a concern is this?

If it's behind the O2 don't worry about it

Front pipe flange and midpipe flange meeting point so it is behind the 02 sensors.

But these are new parts, i didnt purchase new parts for them to leak. Ive had a few leaks ive fixed and i have a works stage 2 turbo kit on the car. Or am i just worrying too much?

Maybe you damaged the gasket when you tightened the bolts down to much? Go get another gasket and try again.

Yea thats what im thinking, its drivable its mainly water anyways. Seems like the OEM gasket doesnt fit it either. Solution for now was the gasket from JDL. there arent any 2.5 donut gaskets at least from my own searches. It was just $13 shipped for the JDL paper-like donut gasket.

Gaskets provided by JDL are crap. Get a Vibrant gasket 10108G for replacement.
