Sounds like bullshit to me. I'm at the point where I just ignore unsubstantiated rumors about these cars. I find that I'm much happier this way.

Might be kind of selfish, but I've already got my FR-S. Doesn't matter much if they discontinue the car, just sucks for those still hoping to buy in the future.

Not surprising when this car is supposed to have a 7 year lifecycle. BMW is supposed to help Toyota make the next Supra right?

I think once the 86 program ends, Toyota might bring back the RWD/4WD Celica. Their 3 sports car family should be Celica/Supra/MR2 imo and the hybrid sports car is the next phase for this decade.

Would BMW help with a car below the Supra? If I was Toyota, id have Yamaha on the phone to make me a 8k screamer engine.

Sounds like your mom might get discontinued...

I am just tired of hearing this stuff. Who cares? The car is hot, it has huge after market support, if we own one already,we are set. Hell, I would love to own a BRZ along with my FRS so I could mod the differently. That would be nice

off topic, but...

lol, NSX have awful resale and that is a fact. people can list them for as high as they want but that doesn't mean they going to sell for anywhere near the asking price.

a guy in the Houston area got one with a blown motor for $5k.
a 93 also in Houston with 90k miles just sold $13k
one of my customer's son got one that was just traded in at CarMax with 100k miles for $11k.
a few years back when i was looking into one (91-94 around 80k-100k) they were going for $14k-$22k.

anyone who thinks these cars will hold their value is sadly mistaken... in 5yrs you'll see '13 FRS for sale for 5k all day long.
