New taillights

Got both tail lights replaced today when I mentioned I could see tiny bits of water inside, wasn't even fussed about it but they insisted....well I'm thinking I'm starting to prefer Toyota service guys over my last German built heap

I've had my car for about 5 weeks now, have washed it 3 times using a pressure cleaner and I have no water getting in. About the only niggle I can pick is that after minutes of idling sometimes the HPFP will start the rattle noise, not very loud tho as it was in earlier cars. Looks like Toyota/Subaru have ironed out all the issues, mine Jan/2013 build . . . .

Yep, bad condensation in both taillights. January 2013 build - so they haven't fixed that problem yet. (2 week wait for new gaskets to arrive...)

Just HOW so much water got into the taillights during the biggest drought in NZ history is a mystery.

washing your car is not enough of a test for the tail lights. I washed my car a bunch as well as ran the hose over the lights for awhile and got nothing but after a big rain storm I had a fish bowl in there

Have had my lights replaced 3 times now I'm pretty sure its the seals themself (really thin) and not the light that is the issue as my newest set are using oversized seals and we have had a lot of rain lately

This was after 1 night of heavy rain and two days of sunshine
