How is the installation work on this? It just slide in and done? Just ordered one along with the rear diffuser from dealer, having them install the diffuser and they asked if I wanted them to install this also. I passed on that, can't imagine how long they would drag it out to install at $80 an hour.

It's flexible, so just bend it, slip it in, and kinda push down. Fits snug and looks good, lol

@Zgrinch and anyone else who has this: Is this rigid enough to replace the stock cloth trunk board/mat? Wonder how pliable it is compared to Weathertech front mats and/or the Weather cargo mat. Like if I were to mount it without the stock cargo mat beneath, I wonder how significantly it would give way into the existing spare tire/tool concavities under the load of cargo.

The Subaru version is not stiff enough to use without the stock mat/board. The Weathetech might work though. I had the floormat versions in my Fit and they were pretty stiff.

Does anyone else find it odd that Subaru makes a trunk liner, but not all weather mats and Scion makes all weather mats, but not a trunk liner? I want Subaru all weather mats! (Not Weathertechs please)

Does anyone know if weathertech gives an ft86club discount?

I found weathertech mats and liner on the priuschat store for the wife's prius at a pretty good discount and free shipping but didn't find anything similar for us brz and fr-s owners

BRZ Floor Mats

I am about to order a BRZ and all weather mats are something I wish the car had available. At least there is a cargo mat now.
I bought Weathertech mats as soon as they were available. They've worked great and are easy to remove without spilling accumulated water or dirt.

subaru's all-weather mats are lacking in coverage, IMHO. also, the rubbery material makes sand/dust stock to them much more than the weathertechs. the weathertechs are easier to clean. i bought subaru all-weather mats for my outback, and replaced them with weathertechs. the moment weathertech released theirs for the BRZ, i bought a pair. wish they made a digital fit mat for the rear as well.

That's good information. I think they do make a trunk mat for the BRZ too.

weathertech does make a trunk liner for the BRZ/FR-S, but it's expensive. i bought the subaru BRZ trunk mat and it's great and about half the price of the weathertech. the subaru trunk liner is a different material from the subaru all-weather mats.

Yep, I also bought the Subaru trunk mat. I will also probably breakdown and get the Weathertech floor liners when it gets closer to winter. They do offer a lot more protection than the typical all weather mats.

I put in the weathertech floor mats today. I have a question.

On the driver side, I tucked the edge under the fuel door pull handle trim and under the seat, I tucked the edge under the medal seat rail ends. But, I wasn't sure if the mat went under the dead pedal or not. What did you do? It covers half of the dead pedal but I got used to how it is now.

It's "meant" to cover the dead pedal, i.e. it's well-documented that that's just how it fits. You can trim it yourself though if it bothers you (I certainly would)
