hello everyone,

tks mockngbrd for introduction to this forum.

yes i love the look of GT86 and I like the look of celica and MRS although I never own one before.

i really hope the pricing of this car is within my reach and the coe can drop by another 10k~20k by 2013 would be nice.

looking forward to drive and own the 86 and have a 86 meet in kallang.

i think Akio Toyoda will also tell you don't buy his car at $200k. totally defeats the spirit of the car.

i'd like to have one in grey tho, with either Super Advans or TE37s
$200k will be too pricey. priced higher than some conti coupes. mini coupe now only abt $180k

personally i doubt they will price the 86 near the Mini Coupe.

S$15k~S$20k lower than mini coupe will be my take.

If same price as Mini Coupe, I will go for the mini with lower road tax.

Cool, even earlier than GT86. GT86 should cost less than BRZ right?

This pricing discussion is really tiresome.

If the US price is approx $30K (SGD$40K).

Then add 100% OMV + 40% import duty. = SGD$96K

Then add COE (@$70K)= $166K.....before delivery costs, road tax and GST.

I think price will be $180K at current COE.

sigh! with the quota for COE expected to be lower this year.... the dream of owning this car is dwindling.

reading threads in other countries, is an envy to see pricing in $30k~$40k range.

Hey guys,

Am another FT86 owner-wannabe in Singapore. Man, I hope it doesn't hit 200K, kinda defeats the purpose of the car...

It is increasingly depressing when the hope of buying one diminishes with each round of COE bidding. Granted, Borneo Motors will not have problems shifting the entire lot even at $200,000 apiece but alternatives are plenty out there at this price point.

Just called Subaru and asked abt the BRZ. They are taking pre-orders now just like Toyota. No word on pricing but I asked the salesperson to give an educated guess, and he did say it will approach 200K. No way will I be able to afford that.
