I saw a screenshot yesterday of someone trying to sell a Hyperblue for I think around $38000 lol. Of course it was modded too so the guy expects the used marked value plus the value of his mods to count. lol

I would agree wholeheartedly that FB groups are possibly the worst place. At least here we have a base of senior members that have vast amounts of experience and have owned more than one twin. Opinions are ensued anywhere, people can agree to disagree at times, as there are people who just won't budge even if they are wrong. But on FB, you're more likely to be trolled and made fun off even if you're really just asking for help for lack of experience.
I recently got added to this group that is mostly wealthy people with exotics. Their idea of being a car enthusiast is owning a car and knowing little about it. The more expensive, the more clout you have. It is very petty as they tend to do a lot of "Audi R8" group drive only, or "Porsche" group drive only events. The only thing is being a paying member of 100 a year gets you a lot of discounts with partner companies including track days. If I do 3 track days a year it more then pays for the membership in discounts.

FB draws out the riffraff.
I stick around just to know where to avoid. Don't want to be caught up in a meet accidentally.

I mean, If I have to spend my days with a bunch of conceited guys in order to get unlimited track days, I'm about to go to the mall and get myself a polo shirt, shorts, and slip on shoes.

Funny enough, there is such a club in my town. They all meet at a local coffee shop and the majority are clearly upper class older folks that can afford Maserati, Porsche, Hellcats, etc. It is free to join, but I never felt so much out of place, there I am with a car that costs a fraction of the price of everyone's cars, trying to fit in and the looks my car got weren't necessarily welcomed. Tried to strike a conversation here and there but it was clear that I was a peasant.

I have the group muted now. Not all of them are bad but it is kind of annoying. Most of the posts are "look what I bought" or "who is the go to attorney in this area to get out of this ticket."

I could never be like that. Probably because I was raised on a country where if you have a nice ride, better be prepared to get robbed more than once. Also because my parents always taught me to be humble and never brag about anything. We have a saying that goes "The one that eats in silence, eats twice."

That RSTI sold for $25,555, which made me happy.

Honestly thought It would be closer to the 30K mark, but in any case, that is one lucky bidder. I'm keeping an eye on the RX-7, that one should sell for quite a bit.

$30k was my initial guess as well. I learned that it has no cats and no EGR which limits where it can be inspected and registered legitimately. Including PA. Unless driven less than 5000 miles per year or registered as a classic car.

It actually stayed at $15k until the auction had about 10 seconds left, then two people got into a bidding war up to $25,555. Guessing that's pretty common.

Some crazy stuff happens literally by last second. I've seen the counter reach all the way down to the last second before someone decides to bid again. Then again, and again.

I don't know why I like visiting those pages even though I know I can't afford them, so all I can do is dream. Just like when I was younger and I would fill my cart with "race" parts for my Mazda 3, then close out the window and cry myself to sleep.

We came into work today expecting all of the soldiers to be on leave or at least not show up for PT. We had 45 show up and had to actually pull a workout out of our asses. It was nice.

I am surprised it didn't go for more.

Nope. It was a chest and back day. I didn't write this routine so I couldn't add booty work, otherwise I would.
