Are these the bolts you're referring to?

Yup. I'm using the SPC 12mm bolts. I just didn't use the supplied washer. That's the major difference between SPC and H&R. Although there may be a hardness difference, I'm not sure. But pretty well any 12mm camber bolt will work.

I'm running the H&R bolts, works fine and allows me to dial out a little camber after lowering and even out L/R camber. About $50+/- for two bolts.

Jesus, that's a lot for two bolts. I think mine were less than $20.

Id like to agree with @CSG Mike on this. We get calls a lot asking about LCA's and in the cases of guys just doing springs and daily or light track and Auto X we will recommend the SPC.. But a lot of track use, extreme lowering and stuff like that we recommend other LCA's. I personally would use the SPC if i just daily my car, but i enjoyed the track and would not run them on my car.

so keeping up with the old thread bump, I've had these on my car for about 15k miles and they've been solid. Always been a fan of PBM parts, especially when I had my 240sx some time ago. People have always enjoyed their coilovers and I almost bought theirs for my BRZ as well.

For a daily I'm happy with them. Big difference I've noticed with them is that they could have gone with a better finish. Not sure if I'd pay another 250 bucks for that but the front facing side of the arms has been chipped up pretty good. one of these days I'll pull them off and have them powdercoated or something but they are chipping pretty good. Been wonderful otherwise but I just DD at a 2" drop so not a whole lot of stress there

Yeah I know - I figure they might be harder than the SPC bolts, less likely to shear if there's slippage. Or it might be me just paying extra money to make myself feel better They're made in Germany after all! Either way they're working nicely, enough camber adjustment for my needs, and still a lot cheaper than even the SPC control arms.

Pretty pumped on mine, especially with helping me get the rear lower. I had my FA 500's as low as they'd go on my old LCAs, put in the PBM ones on the lowest setting and as soon as I got the car off the jack stands and on the ground I said "oh shit" and had to raise the suspension up. Makes quite a huge difference.

@CSG Mike, I know you have to be careful when commenting on another sponsor's products, but are you impressed with the FT-86 SpeedFactory LCA by Velox? To me, they look fantastic - do you have confidence in the testing they've done and do you expect them to be robust and safe enough to recommend?

Their site doesn't work for me, have a link?

Although I appreciate the mention, seems like SPC and SPL dominate the LCA conversations...

They offer a bushing end for STX legal use, so they come up now and again.

+1 for racer-x, my set just came in I'll have pics soon.

They're machined from aluminum, and won't break the bank. It's good if you want more adjustability than the SPCs and don't need as many mounting points as the SPLs. They're a happy medium. Like cjd said, the urethane ends are STX legal and also help with NVH a little.

^Not necessarily true on the mounting points, one nice thing is the lower mounting holes which let raise your coilovers back up and acheive the same ride while increasing travel.

I understand the purpose of the different mounting holes, that was not my point. Like I said, not everybody needs those mounting points for the extra cost.
