GruppeM Ram Air System Intake

For any of those mighty enough to want a ~$1600(+shipping from japan) intake for their car, GruppeM just released this

Notably absent are any published test results. More bling than bang. Looks like a great way to suck water directly into the engine.

Yep, no data = bling.

There have been tests done before on other vehicles, there is a very, very slight ram air effect on intakes like this, but it's not until well above "Do not pass go. Go directly to jail" speeds.

And even then we are talking tenths of a %.

Looks great, love it. Totally unnecessary, but some people just want to buy really nice parts for the car they love. I'd rather have stuff like this on the market than the alternative.

GruppeM Ram Air System Intake

All you need is some blue painters tape and a forth graders level of fiberglass skills. It’s been done.

bummer.
You can get parts from Japan relatively affordably by going through a broker. I use Jesse Streeter for importing wheels and whatever else - here's a link to his site: https://jessestreeter.com/ordering-parts/. It's as simple as emailing him with the link to the part you want to buy (be it new or used on Yahoo Auctions Japan), and him returning your email with a quote to purchase and ship the part directly to you. Because the yen is so weak right now, it is an opportune time to be buying parts directly from Japan through a broker in lieu of going through a US-based retailer like Evasive.
