sucks bro.. On the bright side, free Seibon CF Trunk with duck lip!! Kick those tail lights and get smoked after market ones while you're at it.

That's how my buddy got a full body kit on a 96 Prelude back in high school lol

You'd be surprised. My BRZ was rear ended at a stoplight. Reason? The lady who hit me said she heard someone honk. So basically her first instinct on hearing a horn is to automatically press the accelerator without even looking at what's ahead first.

Also almost got hit on the freeway/highway because some dumbass teenager didn't check his blind spot. He just went 2 lanes without looking at all.
That's what I did when I got rear ended. My back was honestly messed up for a bit. I had to get some physical therapy.

You should always get checked out by the hospital for posterity, as denying medical attention at the time of the accident will greatly reduce your ability to get medical coverage funds from insurance after the fact.

What do you mean third run? Are you using your car as a delivery vehicle?

Airbags won't deploy in most rear end collisions, except for in the car that does the hitting. It's the deceleration that triggers the airbag.

I got hit in exactly the same way, except with a lot less force. It was a Chevy Cavalier or something, and the contact area was the flat black plastic. The crash bar under the plastic is bent a bit, but there's hardly a mark on the bumper. The impact felt pretty solid, but I don't think I had my foot on the brake at the time, which probably helped.

Hopefully that one fulfills the curse for me.

@wrxgoose

man, I'm sorry about that. You were excited as hell to get that car and to have this happen sucks...the worst I've had is someone spitting on the car or putting something on it....I really don't care to figure out what odd liquid they put on the car given that my coating laughed at it;well, that and drawing a d!ck on the rear windshield lol

Hopefully she's back up and going soon though and everything works out well for you, and hopefully no lingering effects on your body show up. I see people driving and looking down at their phones all the damned time, it's pretty infuriating and is possibly what the moron was doing before they hit you.

Funny you say that, I remember having to honk at someone as she was about to run a stop sign and nail me. What did she immediately do? Hit the gas and ran right into me.

@wrxgoose
Sorry to hear about this, glad you are alright though.

Most employers do this to justify not having to pay workers comp incase of any injurty. I cut my hand open once and needed stiches. Had to get drug tested. Its a way for them to fire you if you test positive and avoid any backlash via employee regulations. Also voids any agreements for workers compensation/emergency room fees, etc...

still stupid, considering many of our deliveries are to places where we get hit with a wall of pot smoke. it's just a mouth swab, so that shouldn't matter though

You should drive your car however, wherever, and for whatever you want. I'm not judging (but I suspect a lot of folks will). I was asking more in regards to the liability. If you're an employee (sounds like you are since there's a drug test), then I wonder who's insurance is on the hook - yours or the companies. Do you live in a No-Fault state?

I'm not a lawyer or an insurance agent, but I would make sure that you sort that out with one or both before you come out of pocket or report anything to your insurance.

Also, I hope the drug test is a non-issue for you.
