sorry to open an old thread but has anyone actually ran the cd009 with their 2jz brz? I'm just doing more research to see if it's possible and not over priced to do it.

I seen on fb the other day someone is making a kit but the only way you can get it is with a new cd009 and it was 4999$ I think. It peaked my interest but I would want just the kit not the new trans especially when they are everywhere for 500-1000$

Do you have a link to the page? I'm looking for specific cd009 kit, and couldn't find it anywhere. Thanks

HRI tuning. Like them on FB, and you will see the page. Pre order saves $$$. It might be over already though.

or just get a gearset and keep the stock trans so you dont have to get adapters or anything......that's what I did and its been fantastic ever since.

I'm still curious as to how robust the stock box is in the area of thrust loading. I'm not curious about the cd009, it's proven. And I can get it all, bolt in ready, for less than a gear set. It is a complete package, shifter, carbon fiber driveshaft, brand new transmission, bellhousing, and uses stock style or any FRS/BRZ clutch. Much better value in my mind.

Don't have to worry too much about that when your straight cut

so I got a 2jz with cd009 tranny swap on a steal so now I need to find a drive train and mounts for the brz. I also have 350z diff but I don't think will work with current axels correct?

If you want to know more about 2J swapped cars, I'd suggest messaging pure automotive to see what they've done.
