Hello @Mishimoto,
Have you done any testing with the new 2017 model that has the extra 5 hp squeezed out of it stock? I'm interested in the sound amplifier delete but wouldn't want any adverse effects. Is there any reason why there might be any difference using this on the newer model engines? Last edited by cat94; 11-28-2016 at 01:23 PM. |

I wouldn't think there should be any difference. Usually when companies squeeze an extra 5 horsepower or so from here or there, it doesn't amount to mechanical changes that are substantially different to change the functionality of components like that. I will follow up with out engineering team, though, to let you know for sure. Thanks for reaching out! -Gardiner |

Hey Cat,
So I followed up with our engineering guys - they basically echoed my previous suppositions, but added that it certainly won't hurt anything. Many of our sponsored drivers run them on very high horsepower cars and are satisfied with them. You may well see the same gains on the new BRZ that you would on an older one, but we can't really say for certain without testing it. Sorry I can't give you anything more definite than that! Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with. Thanks, -Gardiner |

Unfortunately, we found that the sound generator had a negative effect on performance so we chose to delete it's connection to the induction hose entirely. We recommend using the supplied cap on the sound generator canister to prevent any foreign material from entering the canister and its lines. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions! -Steve |
