Just wanted to give my update with track experience. I was SUPER shocked. Before my brake ducts I constantly overheated my pads, and my brake pedal would turn into mush. I have seen temperatures with my brakes at close to 1000 degrees. It's gotten so hot, that I have melted wheel weights off of my wheel. Say no more! These brake ducts at the track do their job. I went from about 800 degrees to about 400. This was determined by a laser heat gun from Amazon. Not the best, but at least gives a decent judgement. I would take temperatures after a cool down lap and a small cruise back to the paddock. So I would say about a good 3 minutes of non braking and just cruising at about 50mph on cool down lap on track and 10mph back to the paddock. I was honestly amazed, probably one of the better investments that I put into this car. Thank you @VeloxEric for making a great brake ducting solution that is proved/designed to work

We're working on getting them back in stock shortly. Our apologies, the move and the large number of odd parts these assemblies have, have not made this easy.

The plastic ducts have taken 3 months to get when it was told it would take 3 weeks; it's part of manufacturing at times. We will have some in stock soon though, we hope.

I think FT86SpeedFactory has them? That's where I purchased mine from. JK.. i just checked and they don't have them. believe me it's worth the wait if you need a brake ducting solution.

Generally, overheated pads is hard pedal, no brakes. Mushy pedal and no brakes is boiled fluid.

maybe it was a combination of both? Not sure, regardless I probably toasted both I was only running Hawk HP+ and stoptech brake fluid. people were telling me there was smoke coming from my brakes so idk.

regardless, Velox brake ducts. they are amazing and I highly recommend them.

I decided not to order. I ran the car without the windshield washer fluid for the entire summer, road trip, tracked it. Never felt the need to use it. I would highly recommend claying the front windshield however. So when it does rain the rain drops will not leave streak marks and it will overall be easier to clean.

For what its worth. I have a smaller fluid reservoir (not PT tuning tho) and Velox brake ducts. The ducting goes around (to the side more precisely) the reservoir easily.

Very cool setup! We've been kicking around ideas for building a 1-off cool kit for our e36 track car for a while. I'll definitely be mooching ideas off your design!

@SpartaEvolution: imho it's better to not reinvent the wheel, but rather contact/work eg. Velox to measure/cut alternative metallic cooling plate that would fit your kits. Way less to make/design something from ground up.

Oh, missed "e36" bit. But oh well, at least this approach should work for your new BBKs designed for twins.

I just installed my kit along with a Ptuning washer fluid reservoir and did not have any clearance problems between the two.
