Will 18x9.5 +38 CC02s fit a 2016 GT 86 on stock suspension or will I have to purchase coilovers (Tein Flex A)?

Yes it will fit on stock suspension but it will be really close to the strut up front. I would recommend using a 245/35/18 or a 235/40/18. You should probably upgrade to coilovers first then do the wheels. If you stay on stock suspension the fronts will poke on stock height and it will not look good.

Will a 225/40 R18 18x8 +45 offset on stock suspension setup have a flush look, or will it still be tucked? I checked wheel it fit and I know the setup will work, just wanna know if it will still be tucked or more flush.

Okay thanks, planning on getting Tein Flex As with 18x9.5 +38 and 245/35/18 tyres. Would there be any problems with being insanely close to the suspension (according to WheelItFit, not sure how accurate it is) I should worry about or would I be better off going with a smaller width? I see a lot of people on Fitment Industries running that exact setup though.

It wont be exactly flush in the front itll be close, the rear might still be slightly tucked. You should look for lower offsets as that whats pushes the wheel out. Try looking for something 36-42 offset if staying on stock. I saw your other post about possibly getting springs if you lower about an 1" you'd need a +35 to be flush.

Nope, there would be rubbing issues with coilovers and that size wheel. Coilovers dont have the spring perches like the stock strut. Also, coilovers generally allow you to run wide wheel and tire setups so you will be fine! Once you get your coilovers you could even use a 255/35 tire if you'd like to go wide if not a 245/35/18 will look good as well.

Should I run the lowering springs first and then get the wheels and tires, or wheels and tires first then lowering springs?

Good rule of thumb is to get suspension before wheels & tires so you know what you’re working with in terms of what fitment will fit and work best. In the end its personal preference. Id get suspension first wheels & tires.

I plan to run 57DR 18x8.5 +37, not sure if this can clear my TRD SE brembo,
I have seen 17x9 +38 and 18x9.5 +38 both confirmed can clear but not see any 18x8.5 +37, I like 18 but 9.5 is too aggressive, and with 8.5 I can still run smaller width tire if I decide to (initially I will go with 245/35/18). Just not sure if anyone here know if 18x8.5 can clear the BBK

I've been searching and searching, and it looks like I'm getting close to seeing what I need to do but want to be sure:

2016 BRZ Limited and it will have the Greddy / KW Performance Coilovers installed

Wheels:

Cosmis R1 18x9.5 +35 offset on all 4

Tires:

235/40R18 front
265/35R18 rear

I would like to go 265/35R18 on all 4 but it seems that people have been having issues? And that some say that anything higher than 235 starts to reduce steering control? Most people are running higher offsets (like +38 and +40) and I know we're only talking 3mm but that could make a difference.

I will obviously adjust the coilovers to help with the wheel gap. I would like to have very little gapping but don't want to have zero, as I plan on DD'ing the car but drive it very spiritedly on the roads out here in the PNW.

Is it possible to run all 4 tires with the 265/35R18? I work at a body shop and can do whatever trimming necessary if needed.

Thank you for any and all help!

It will fit. You may just need to run a bit of camber to fit inside the fender depending on how low you are. So you may need camber plates if the coilovers already dont have them. You could roll the fenders for peace of mind, but it seems people who have run this setup havent had to do it. These threads might help you out.

I spent about an hour reading through the meaty tire thread which is where I got most of my answers, but still always saw some conflicting stories about it not working and they had more positive offsets so I just wanted to be sure!

Thank you for the help, if I end up going with that car over this other one, I will for sure be getting camber plates if the coilovers don't have them (will research that now)

Might seem like a stupid question but i'm a noob. I am looking into changing my PP rims for the 2018 WRX STi rims 18x8.5 +55. Would this be possible with the appropriate converters/spacers?
