Looking to go 18x9 et38 XD9s all round and I’m currently on a 1” drop from Eibach pro kit springs. Now due to the laws in Australia I can’t poke out any further than the stock fenders (correct me if my wording is a bit off).
With 235/40/18 or 245/35/18, would this be fine to avoid rubbing as well as poking in order to stay legal?
Perfect flushness isn’t that much of a concern, just want to avoid being defected!
Daily driving use btw.
Much appreciated.
Good choice of wheel size and offset. I would go with a 245/35 size as it matches OEM size for diameter and it will still have a wee bit of stretch. My Sig below shows that tire (Conti Extreme DW) in 245/35R18 on a 18x9 wheel.

I'm just concerned with the poke mostly, props to your set up btw
I'm also thinking of running 17x7.5 fronts and 17x8.5 rears et42 for both (xd9s) as a mate has a set he's willing to sell to me. I would much rather be safe than sorry with the law over here.
I have a set of 215/45/17 lying around, would they be alright to use for both front and rear?
Sorry for all the noob questions

Those would be good also, much less aggressive of course, so yeah you would be pretty safe. The tires would be okay on the fronts, but would be stretched for the rears. Not optimal, but would do until you get another proper set. I've seen crazy stretches like 205's on 9's and 10's.

Ideal size tire for those wheels would be 225/45R17 and 245/40R17.

What suspension currently and planned for future?

You will need a +35 offset or 10mm spacers if you want to run these either stock or dropped on springs, but will fit with coilovers.

I would still try getting something closer to a +35 to +38 offset.

Will I only have trouble on rear, or front too? As far as suspension, maybe coil overs, not looking for a large drop as I hit now with the large drainage they build into streets here in the Deep South if I'm not careful.

You should be clear on the rears but I would still run a spacer if you are running the same wheels up front, otherwise it will look strange running flush up front and tucked in on the rears.

If you run coil-overs, then you'll be okay upfront with a +45 offset.

So, options:

Running springs - use 10mm spacer on fronts and rears
Coilovers - no spacers required

Other option is to run staggered with a different size wheel up front:
18x7.5-8" up front (offset range +40 to +45) and the 18x9 +45 wheels in the back.

Will this fit? (width, offset and tire size Qs)

18x8.5 +48 rota g force wrapped in 225/40zr18 okay? Stock suspension. Eventually either sport line or pro kit drop.

I'm looking to get Enkei Kojin 18 x 8.5 et45 front and 18 x 9.5 et45 rear
I'll be running stock suspension for the time being to stay in my autocross class (i'll be switching to stock wheels for c street)

for tires I was thinking 235/45 for the front and 255/40 for the rear
The reason I want these sizes is to get as much sidewall as possible to fill the wheel gap

So i have two questions (hopefully someone can answer):
1. Will these wheels fit with out hitting the stock springs?
2. The overall diameter of the two tires will be off by 7mm (1/4''). Will this effect abs/tc?

thanks

18x8.5 +44 Volk RE30's, lowered on RCE Yellows, stock strut bolts, HVT camber plates (running -2 camber up front).

Right now I have 225/40R18 Michelin PSS's...look pretty stretched and wondering if I could/should fit something wider all around. 245/35 looks real close to stock diameter...but will it fit without issues up front?

There really doesn't seem to be much room between the 225/40's and the spring perch of the stock struts...I can fit a fingertip by my fingernail in there, but that's pretty much it. Thoughts?

I've searched a bit and I've came to the conclusion that this will fit via posts and the wheel app but I would love a reassurance on the specs below:

Front: 17 x 7.5 +48 w/ 215/45/17 (Lowered 1 inch)
Rear: 17 x 9.0 +35
w/245/40/17 (Lowered 1.3 inch)

Also, would a 1.5 difference staggered setup cause any trouble?

That's a pretty high offset.
It will fit only on stock suspension and camber, but with very limited clearance.

As soon as you drop it, you'll need to be on coilovers or use spacers (~10mm) to gain clearance.

Pretty much same answer as above, limited clearance but okay with stock suspension only.

Tire sizes listed are too tall.

Options:
Fronts: 225/40, 235/40 or 245/35R18.
Rear should be 245/35, 255/35R18. Think 265s are gonna be too tight.

You shouldn't have any ABS issues as long as tire sizes are similar overall diameter.
