Yep. I planted 2 year roots and just let them fern for the first 2 years. For a few springs I had it coming out of my ears. My bed died I think from a couple errors. 1. I was way over my water allotment and paying a fortune for water and it got too dry. 2. My wife cut down the ferns too early in the fall. 3. I think I got a major grub attack.

It was real nice for a while.

So what's the accumulation totals?

I think the lowest temperature recorded today was -11c and as for snow coverage, anything from a thin coating (few mill) to circa 40cm. Nothing like what you guys see but again enough to bring the country to a standstill and one poor S2000 owner!

Lol that's 15 inches. That's enough to shut a lot of places down. We got 36 inches once in PA. It was called snowpocalypse or snowmageddon depending on who you asked.

40cm can be a real problem anywhere, if it comes over a short period of time!

We're feeling the Beast here in Norway, too. I've got -14°C right now and it's going to get colder over the next few days. Fortunately only light snow on top of the 1 meter we've already got so far this winter.
People here are complaining about sidewalks and bike lanes not being sufficiently cleared; other than that, it's life as usual. Just a little colder than normal.

don't get me started. I'm 100% confident I could make this place more efficient, profitable and a better place to work for everyone left after I fired half of them.

A little late to the party, just had to chime in. Just got out of an interview for a manager position. Don't think it's for me. The questions were all open ended and sounded like parenting questions: How would you deal with a difficult team member? How would you motivate somebody to get their tasks done? How do you handle two team members that are at odds with each other? Ugghhh...

I'm have an engineering background and I realize now that I'd rather be in the lab or in front of the computer on CAD lol

That pretty much describes 80% of manager's job.

At the time I managed some people but my primary job was technical, so rather than being a pure manager they decided my title should be "Fellow".

The HR team seemed a little put off when I asked what it took to get up to the next levels as I assumed the career progression was:

Fellow
Good Fellow
Jolly Good Fellow.

Really wanted that on my business card.
