My Hakone goes to heaven....I go to Honda!

BTW, I did buy the Acura. We take delivery next week after the insurance check arrives. It is NOT Hakone Green, but it is a special color....Tiger Eye Pearl...with a 2 tone cream and black leather interior called "Orchid??". SO I will try to graciously bow out of my 6 years of "twin-hood". Many thanks.

Well, that's a shame your car got messed up -

Glad you are OK.

Of course among the reasons you fell asleep, had NOTHING to do with the fact that you are 70 years old. -

Hell, I get sleepy just driving two miles up to the Walmart -

I feel your pain on the utility pole. I "own" a pedestal stoplight in downtown Richmond, VA that I destroyed with my Audi Fox (which also happened to be Hakone) while in college. That was one fun car, even if it was front wheel drive.

Forgot about the Fox. I believe same platform as the Rabbit. Very decent cars for their time.

And look at that hair!

It was the 70's, also explaining the Puma t-shirt and the sweatpants.

I miss chrome bumpers....and whitewalls if I'm honest.

It shared a platform with Passat not the Rabbit I believe.

New "Hakone Edition" replacement

So here is my new "Hakone Edition". A 2021 Acura TLX Type S in Tiger Eye Pearl with Orchid interior. Sure is a nice car and has more than adequate power.

Found the Hakone I would own if I were Jeff Bezos.

Featured on Top Gear UK this week in the US.

Maybe Bezos would rather return to space in a Hakone Romulan Warbird

He probably does, but I don't think Bezos and Musk combined could afford that bad boy.
