In my case, they get used for mainly mountain road driving, commuting and autox use once a month. In my class, all the cars faster than me ran RE71R so I assume that attributed to their faster times but at the same time the ECS are a comfortable road tire (not loud or harsh). I also like how predictable the tire is. Right away i knew exactly where the breakaway point was. So personally i don't mind giving up some time for a tire i can live with daily.
