Get clear tint. Like Suntek 80 or Llumar Air 80 Blue or 3M Crystalline 70. It's clear but rejects all the heat and IR Rays.

IMO one of the best on the market. Highly recommend. No drone, quiet when cruising and idle, roars when you want it to. Granted I only have the cat back so it might be a bit louder/prone to drone with a full setup. But from what I've heard, drone is kept to the minimum.

Milltek's catback doesn't drone, provides a modest power increase, is lighter than the stock system by several pounds, and looks good too!

Hills... are interesting. Especially when you're having to negotiate them on ice. I actually really enjoy the lightness and high-engagement of the clutch. Coming from chunky, heavy clutches in the WRX and Forester XT, the BRZ's reminds me of my STI's, which was a higher engagement, though not as light if I recall correctly.

I actually wouldn't mind a hill-holder option. I liked it on my Forester.

I did a lot today, given it's only my third day of ownership:
• SUBARU and BRZ badge delete.
• Sound / noise pipe delete.
• First drive w/ my 65 pound dog in the new car! New car is now a little hairy :P
• Trimmed front plate in prep for 3M VHB taping to bumper

So how does this fare? Still 200 degrees more than ambient temp on hot summer days?
Not sure, its nice and cool in the spring. I plan on getting some sort of "helmet" for it, because bare backing will definitely get warm later in the year.

I've driven in SF, but never with a stick. I bet my clutch wouldn't last a month there.

Two days ago, changed transmission and differential oil to Motul Gear 300. Man that differential oil is some kind of stank! My garage still smells.

Today, installed the Raceseng Ashiko shift knob I bought from another member. This thing is heavy but shifting now feels fantastic!

It's not even that bad, I pretty much thought like you also since I never drove stick in SF before but since taking mine to SF it's the same as driving an auto for me. YMMV since experience will matter.

Haven't scraped in SF yet but I haven't hit the STEEP hills either so that's something to avoid for sure. I'm on the fence about lowering ~1 inch since I already lightly scrape the mud guards under the car now in some parking lots.

From what I know there are quite a few exhaust that doesn't drone. Depending on what kind of exhaust you want loud or almost stock like.
