I got them to cut me a check for $1k for a winter tire/wheel package of my choice. I pocketed the leftover cash.

well guys I went in and spoke with a sales rep and their internet manager....sticker said 25,1xx and the salesman gave me a 'great deal'...... $24,533 and he wouldn't drop his $299 dealer fee.

I am better of getting a 14 BRZ Premium for a few hundred more.

Thanks for the encouragement guys, I may have been able to swing something like winter tires/tint/remote start but he wouldn't budge on the price of the car so I didn't try.

I was able to get my AT FRS for $22,500 after a college grad rebate from Koons in Tysons Corner, VA.
I guess since they're a much larger dealer they have to keep things moving, hence the low price. Either way I think I did pretty well there haha

That sounds like a great deal, which is more what I was thinking. If your AT was 22,500 then I would figure the stick to be around 21,500 which is where I was hoping.

Any dealer can discount any car, its up to them what they are willing to do. I walked away with a 2014 BRZ Sport Tech in December for $500 over invoice.

Stop trying to get them to lower the price on the actual car. That's your problem. I didn't even bother because of the the pure pricing nonsense. Get what you want from them thrown in for free (starter, tint, wheels/tires, etc). They are always more willing to cut you a check for stuff like winter tires to keep scion off of their back.

So many people are afraid to open their mouth to the dealer because of all the "pure price" nonsense. If they want to move the car bad enough, they will work with you and lower it. Just be willing to walk and you will be a lot more effective with getting the price down.

Our dealer lowered the price down quite a bit around 2500.00-3000.00 on our 2014 FRS Auto Whiteout. Then they gave me 2000.00 for an old 2003 Explorer that booked retail for that. Thought we came out very well. If you don't ask you won't receive.

I searched cars.com for new '13s an found a few dealers with good prices. By the time they added all of their fees and such, we were pretty much back to invoice, which was above my employee price for a '14 (no trade-ins considered). For whatever reason, dealers seem content on letting these just sit on the lot.

I don’t get it either, I told them the price I wanted them to beat and what I wanted for my trade in.

I suppose I would pay what they were asking if they threw in a car starter, tint, and winter tires. But that it the only thing I didn't ask for.

I had to talk to 5 dealerships before I found one that I wanted to deal with.

I had a '13 TC for trade in, the dealership that I bought the car from originally only offered 9k for the car.

The dealership I bought my FR-S from paid off my TC in full, and got me into an FR-S (with tints/fogs/blocker heater and only 18km / 11 miles) for significantly less than some dealerships were offering on a barebones demo FRS ( with 10000km / 6000 miles). I think the difference worked out to around 5 grand.

Shop around

I had a Scion dealer around here who was lowering ALL 2013 FRS models down by 1k. Pretty sure they could go even lower if they wanted to. Shop around and you'll find it easily

Yeah I saw where they are selling them way less than MSRP. Do you know if they allow you to custom order?
