Looking for advice on air ride

I’m getting ready to bag my BRZ, looking for suggestions on what I should run. I’m pretty set on airlift 3P for management. Should I just go with the 3P full kit tho? Anyone notice a big difference swapping from airlift struts to another brand? Trying to budget around 3.5k max - I know I can get the management / compressor / lines and tank option for 1.5k. I’ve been looking at PBM and Broadway instead of getting a full 3P kit. I daily my car with a 40mi commute 3 days a week so I need something thats still going to be comfortable. Need to be able to make it up my driveway at work and still be able to sit low.

Also I’m running a squared wheel setup that probably won’t clear airlift front bags: 18x9.5 +38. This might be a dumb question but would stockies fit while I’m looking for a new setup?

Thanks,

Check here to see how much more or less clearance there will be between different sizings.

Stocks will definitely clear front and rear without any spacers, with the 18x9.5 +38, you'll probably need to run a 25-30mm spacer. I run 18x10 +44 all around, and needed a 30mm up front just to clear the double bellows, rears were fine without a spacer tho, did need to remove what I think is a e-brake line cover bracket? To be able to drive the car low, I didn't remove it initially and when I drove ride height it scraped my rims.

I am also in the same situation, going to be on air suspension, but got to wait for new wheels. I was wondering do we also need diff and subframe risers, since I know our cars have really weak axles when the car is lowered. Does this only apply when on coils, since we are only really low when we air out. Compared to driving to around stock height.

Driving while excessively lowered will destroy the axles (including aftermarket ones) unless you get the diff riser.

Sitting still while slammed will not do anything.

Appreciate it, I'll stay a pretty close height to stock when driving then until my wheels and diff riser and subframe riser come in!

Update I went with a full Airlift 3P kit - found a great deal.

I swapped my rep wheels for ESR RF2's - 18x9 +30 with 225/40's. Clearance is great i have just enough room between the barrel and bags up front at all times - aired up/down and at full turn at all ride heights. Honestly I could have gone a lot more aggressive as far as lip to fender (keepin 225's) - especially with the rears. They fit well even before I Had my fenders rolled.

The 3P install was honestly not that difficult - I'm a total noob and I got it done pretty quickly! I just had it aligned at a place that does a lot of air ride kits and they looked over everything for me just to confirm everything was routed well.

I'm not maxed out yet but I plan on adjusting my collars somewhat soon to try and go lip-to-fender, maybe even slight tuck in the rear. I'm running 38/38, 46/46 psi as my ride height - looks like my lowering springs did. My higher preset feels a lot more comfortable though I recommend ride-height psi in the 50's. I need to fine tune everything and get aligned again.
