And here's part of the expense.. extra bumper parts that wouldn't have been needed if we kept it simple...

One of the reasons I did the 2017 bumper swap was to get more airflow to the heat exchangers by leaving the separate mustache/grille piece off with some custom foam ducting. Good for track cars

You and Opie are doing important work!

And honestly at this point someone should build turnkey BRZ/FRS/GT86 track cars from rebuilt cars.

This car came from Atlanta.. any chance you knew who the owner was? I wouldn't mind getting the second key haha

And she's back on the ground! Dave & I got a bunch wrapped up this weekend, all painted body parts are on. Mounted a trunk I had sitting around that had a spoiler on it

Waiting on the foglight trim (I ordered the wrong parts) and a working airbag control module to finish it up.

Got the airbag module back from MyAirbags again after they had me send it back.. and this time it works!

The car is done except for the paperwork.

So including cashback on my Amazon card which I used as much as possible and not including the final Florida state fees (but including GA state taxes) the cost breakdown looks like this:
Car: $6,309.54
Rebuild: $2,472.03
Cashback: -$93.21

Total: $8,688.36

I need to sell the coilovers that are on it (I have a set of Eibach Multi Pro R2s sitting here that I still had from the last BRZ) which will more than offset the few remaining fees.. but even without that it'll be less than $9k total pretty easily.
