Thanks. I think with a small fix on the car and driving it a little harder some more time can be realized. Will try for a 1:25 next time

Track: Zolder Circuit
Car: 2013 GT86
Mods: None
Tyres: Hankook Ventus Evo2 215/45R17
Comments: Second ever time at Zolder. Had some fun reeling in a stripped down 325i on semi slicks. First track experience with these Hankook tyres. Grip is phenomenal, car behaves perfectly but rear tyre pressure could be lower since it was playful in the rear during high speed entry or early throttle application. Next time I'd wish to experiment with traction control off and slightly lower pressure in the rear tyres.

Notes: Here's the lap I mentioned in my last post where I hit the wall. too much steering angle, on throttle, and low grip area of the track compounded by my inexperience in recovery caused my loss of control.

Track: Club Motorsport (PCA event)
Car: 17 BRZ Series.Yellow
Upgrades: H&R springs, camber plates, Apex 17x9's w/ 245/45 RE71R's
Lap times: 1:52-2:00 (depending on traffic - fastest lap of the weekend was a 1:38 from a Viper ACR)

Sorry for the shitty camera position. Didn't realize it was that low and far away until I was editing video .

Great analysis of your incident. I had a wreck of my own last year, so I feel your pain.....literally and figuratively. The best thing you can do is get "back on the horse" ASAP. If you can do it at Laguna, all the better.

Best of luck and don't let it turn you away.

Thanks. I'm not giving up. I do, however, have to wait until next season since the repairs/upgrades ate my entire budget for tracking. I'm also going to install more safety equipment before I get back out there. Roll bar, seat, harness, Hans. Can never be too safe!

AMP TNIA 9/19/18: How NOT to make a Trackday video

Track: AMP/Atlanta Motorsports Park
Car: 2017 BRZ Limited
Mods: Catback exhaust and Perrin intake (both for sound alone

Notes/Comments: A truly brilliant piece of cinematography, some viewing notes include--

-I am personally shocked at my ability to conceal how much fun I'm really having. No, seriously, that's my happy face.
-Yes, that IS a Gopro dangling off my helmet. There's a light on those that tell you when it's working...
-First time on track, and I'm predictably slow but prepare to have your dreams crushed (1:50)
-Honestly, I could be hunting a parking spot at Walmart and the video would look exactly the same
-Something else is wrong, I just can't quite put my finger on it.

Track: High Plains Raceway (Colorado)
Car: 2017 BRZ Limited
Mods: CSG power (ACE A350 + DT), MCS, WedsSport...basically my STX autox prepped BRZ.

Notes/Comments: Autocross on Saturday, placed 3rd overall out of 100. Then took it to the track with the exact same setup (sans some rebound adjustments) and ran some 2:05's and 2:06's at HPR. Love these cars!

Car: 2015 STX FR-S
Event: OnGrid
Mods: Coilovers, intake, header, tune, 17x9 & 245 RE71R
Lap Time: 1:25.7 SoloStorm (Qstarz puck)
Notes: Old date code RE's. I think 1:24 is there for sure. Beyond that requires not-me driving
Was testing for the upcoming SCCA Time Trial National Tour. I don't know how I'm going to catch similarly prepped S2000's.

Track: NOLA Motorsports Park 2.75m
Car: 2013 FR-S TT4 prepped
Event: NASA
Mods: Too many: JRZ RS Pros, Harrop Supercharger, SPL catalog, 245 Hoosier R7s, Voltex Type 7, custom front splitter, etc. etc. Car is detuned to ~230ish WHP
Lap Time: 1:50.731 via transponder (new TT4 record)
Notes: First time at NOLA and the track was incredible. I think a high 49 is possible in perfect conditions with a perfect lap.

Notes: Tires are Nankang AR1 that have 0 grip left and where almost bald, I decided to just have some fun, and for shits and giggles, ran a few laps using only one hand on the steering wheel. Was only .7 seconds slower than the best time I could muster with the tires today.

Track: Salinas Speedway, Puerto Rico
Car: 10 Series FR-S
Event: CCCPR Track day
MODS: See build thread http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114590
