Do I need a new clutch?

So recently my clutch pedal has been acting up, where the clutch pedal is super light when driving but say I park and engage the e-brake, the clutch returns to its regular stiffness. Also the exhaust note changes back and forth from a low pitch to its regular loud note when the clutch acts up, I drive a 2013 Scion FR-S with 49,000 miles on it and my cousin who’s a tech hasn’t been able to fully look at my car but says he might be able to fix it with some WD40 I think he said, I’m thinking it might be the clutch/brake fluid because it is looking kinda dirty so I’m hoping it’s just as simple as doing a flush. This is my first time posting and hope you guys can help me out with this.

Pull the parking brake. Put it in sixth, rev the engine and engage the clutch. The engine should immediately stall. The clutch is toast if it slips even a little bit.

It sounds like it's done. That light feel is from the clutch slipping and overheating. Then it comes back some after it cools.

My clutch is still going strong after 76000mi and supercharged for 50+ of those miles. Mine makes a little noise when cold but goes away when the car is warmed up. Perhaps I'm just lucky.

Lol WD40, I'm sure he's joking. But yeah I say it's time for a clutch.
