Fr-s shift knob threading

Hi, I am planning on getting the ARC ti shift knob like i had on my Evo before, but I am not sure if the knob threading is stepped or non-stepped. Does anyone have it installed in their vehicle or at least now which one would work? I would hate to order the wrong one. Thanks.

Evo shift knobs use a completely different thread/bolt size.

Tried fitting my Evo shift knob on my 86 and the 86 shift lever is way too thick.
