I agree with the OP, the car should have been a Toyota and is a Toyota (or a Subiyota). There is nothing wrong with him wanting to have it badged the way it comes everywhere else. It is not like he is putting lambo badges on it.

That bag looks awesome, if I didn't have other mods I want more it would be on the short list.

Car looks great.

I think it looks good. I also think the price is absolutely absurd and wish it was just a cover swap. Thankfully I couldn't care less about it being badged a Scion here. Did you get the red 86 fender vent emblems as well? Saw the other emblems, but couldn't tell on that one.

As far as the backlash goes, if someone doesn't want negative comments it's easier to just refrain from posting on the internet. Just because people don't agree with said modification doesn't make them jealous or trolls or whatever. Everyone is entitled equally to their own opinion, no matter how ridiculous it may seem.

Those are coming soon. Doing other things first for the interior.

I respectfully disagree.

People should show a little

You disagree that everyone is entitled to their own opinion?

Well, that's your opinion.

Entitled to an opinion, and giving someone a hard time about how they spend their own hard earned money, is two different things.

This is after all, a forum for these exact things.

A few peoeple went a little far, thats all. It is all subjective in the end!

Now lets have some :happy0180:

OP, looks amazing, well done! Love the attention to detail on the Toyota swap, if I were getting an FRS I'd be PMing you and going down the same path. But, I'm getting a BRZ and thankfully it is badged appropriately so no swap is needed.

cool, but absolutely insane. I'd rather buy a new set of stickier tires, or get the five axis kit. I wanted to rebadge mine, but, meh, people who don't know the difference between scion and toyota would still more than likely not even know what a scion fr-s is. Most old people at my work are like, oh the car you have is called a scion??? and i have to explain what scion is, and that actually its an fr-s.

I'd prefer the car being a Toyota as opposed to Scion too, but from a sheer finish/refinement standpoint I think the Scion airbag cover looks nicer with the metallic logo.

OK, so I thought it was just me. Discounting the cost (which is just insane, but heh to each his/her own) frankly, I think the 86 one looks cheap and screams "econobox", at least in the photos. Maybe it looks better in person.

Looks much better in person but that's not the point. I've completely rebadged my car. Emblems, wheel caps, interior, it would look completely stupid to do all that yet still have a Scion emblem on the steering wheel. And I'm not going to do some half-assed job of trying to put a Toyota T emblem in the place of the Scion badge. I've seen it done, looks like total crap. So the 86/GT-86 came with what I got, and that's what I did. Keeps it clean, keeps it original.

Nope, totally understand your motivation. It's one of the reasons I haven't considered rebadging mine. Go all the way or don't go at all. I can't justify the price, so mine stays as is. It would have been nice if the 86 logo was in a satin trim or something though.
