Yeah I figured that. I had two different def files in the file manager. I removed one and tried again....now it's showing correctly. Thanks

Another question....what's the difference between A and B? I noticed the temp values in both tables are slightly different.

Most likely AC on, AC off.

I'm running these at the moment, which equates to fans on below 70kph or so, off otherwise. It doesn't drop the temp below 194 which is good.
190.4 (90.0 C)
194.0 (92.0 C)
192.2 (91.0 C)
203.0 (95.0 C)

as @Wayno said definition, having multiple defs in romraider is a big trap when working with oft and non oft roms or even v1.5 and v2 oft tunes roms and defs are calid adjusted.

lucky you picked it as flashing that rom would possibly have bricked ecu or at the least resulted in unstable running.

I haven't actually started editing anything yet.....still just getting myself familiar with romraider and comparing different roms etc.

Yup, as per email.... were you viewing in compare mode?

C to F scale:
88C = 190.4 - t'stat starts to open
89C = 192.2
90C = 194.0 - lower normal operating temp
91C = 195.8
92C = 197.6
93C = 199.4 - upper normal operating temp
94C = 201.2
95C = 203.0 - t'stat fully open
97C = 206.6
100C = 212.0
103C = 217.4

Values in stock tables
A (Assume this is AC on)
197.7 (92C)
203.0 (95C)
201.2 (94C)
212.0 (100C)
B (Assume this is AC off)
206.6 (97C)
212.0 (100C)
210.2 (99C)
217.4 (103C)

VALUES FOR PREVENTING OVERHEATING AT IDLE.
Fans will come on after a minute or 2 at idle after temps start to rise.
194.0
199.4
197.6
203.0

RECOMMENDED:
VALUES FOR FANS ON BELOW 43mph/69kph.
These values will keep your engine bay vented at all times once you're at operating temperature.
Fans will only be on over 43mph/69kph if you're overheating - t'stat fully open, over 203F/95C.
190.4
194.0
192.2
203.0

M0 max(+) - 197.6 (92C)
M1 min - 199.4 (93C)
M1 max/M2 min - 203 (95C)

What this means is:

M0 - 0 to 6mph (10km/h)
- fans will come on if engine is up to operating temp.

M1 - 6mph to 40mph (10km/h to 65km/h)
- fans will be on if the temp is above the normal operating temp of 93C/199.4F.

M2 - 40mph to 80mph (65km/h to 130km/h)
- fans will only be on if the temp is above 95C/203F.
95C/203F is the temp at which the thermostat is fully open.
(I've only ever seen 95C/203F at idle, never while moving).

M3 - Above 80mph (130km/h)
- fans should be off regardless of temp.
What if you wanted to lower the fans kicking in earlier for the M0 / 0-6mph range only? Scenario I'm thinking is parking a car post a track session. Coolant temps by the time you get back to the pits might be low enough to not trigger fans but oil is still high.

Currently I run the A/C to force fans and keep air going through the oil cooler and radiator. But it has been mentioned that the AC condenser is adding extra heat to the mix so would be preferable to eliminate that.

I've just installed a Greddy front mounted turbo and am running the following on both tables:

83,85,90,93

Fans stay on at idle at the lights regardless of A/C status, thermostat will prevent overcooling of the coolant.

The way I read the values and meanings is that you'll still have the fans running up to 40mph?

10 = fans are on below this speed providing the temp threshold in the other 2 table is allowing it
20 = fans will be on if the temp is above the normal operating temp of 93C?
64 = fans will only be on if the temp is above 95C?
70 = ?
129 = ?
135 = fans always off above this speed

question marks indicate I'm not sure so any further information would be helpful
FYI- A recent EcuTek update gave me access to these tables...I guess they're out of beta.

Wayno!
My engine is so happy now so he is sending you deep WOT kiss - he likes this kind of treatment very much and feels completely different in hot jams now. Thank you so much, man! Temp stands 192-195F in traffic jams now instead of stock 206-212F before update you offered.

@steve99 @Kodename47 @Wayno

So if I want my fans to full blast everytime I turn the AC on and I'm idling or low speeds, I would change the first value of table A to something like 100 F?

And change the second value from the last table from 12 mph to 20 mph, which would mean this setting would be carried out to 20 mph?

Talking about the tables below

The reason I am asking this. I returned my car to stock (this means from LS swap back to FA20), everything is working fine... The fans do turn on when I turn the AC on, but it seems its at a lower speed. I would like the fans to fully come on, full speed when I turn the AC on regardless of the coolant temperature... My AC works perfect when I am running at speed and when the car is full temperature, and the fans are running fully.. but if the car is not up to temp yet, it struggles cooling if idling/in traffic.

Thanks in advanced for your help.

All you should need is to change the fan mode A and B tables , use the lower ones that start at 190 F, just be careful your definition is in F as well and not C.

If your A\C is struggling that much it may be low on gas or some other issue. I live in a pretty warm climate and my a/C works fine in traffic, even before I put fan mods in

I added the tables that start in 190 F but still had the issue. I'll double check the units just to make sure and will take the car in for a check on Freon or other A/C issues.

Thanks for the help as always.
