Hence why I don't see any point in having the rev limit raised, even though ECUTek can do that.
One good reason would be for AutoX.

Yep, any track or performance driving where you need to use a gear just a bit longer without upsetting the balance of the car with a shift.

Back on topic, I think whether it is 200whp or 185whp, this car is more responsive to simple bolt ons than I thought it would be considering it is an NA small engine car. The overall gain from stock baseline is what is most important (somebody already mentioned this so I'm just reiterating). And I love what I'm seeing out of this engine with simple bolt ons and a tune.

I'd actually like to see what kind of trap speeds folks with bolt ons + tune will run in the 1/4 mile. Assuming an increase of 20-25 hp, they should be right around 97-98 mph.

Agreed, or hopefully very close to it. I always test my vehicles after I mod them to verify the dyno #s are accurate.

Trap speeds can be modified by launches as well. I've seen celicas trap at 96MPH stock lol...with a crappy launch.

Somewhat true. Usually trap speeds don't vary as much as the ET or RT. Anyway, if you just take the average of a few runs and get a good weight, trap speed is a pretty solid indicator of power. Dynos are a great tuning tool but trap speeds are probably better to compare real power to the ground. It's so hard to compare dyno results with all the different dynos and all the different ways dynos are run. It's so easily manipulated it's kind of a joke to compare dyno results unless they are done in the same place.

We just hit 190 with tuning on our stock car yesterday. Its a healthy motor though - put down 177 stock with the stock tune.

Seems in line with most tuning results. That is certainly a very healthy motor. How many miles on it?

Does your dyno read high? 177 stock and 190 tuned are definitely on the upper end of what I've seen.
